Who we are
Founded in 2021, Les invalides au front is a private Facebook group with over 3,100 members.
Primarily comprised of people who have found themselves unable to continue working following a misfortune, the group is campaigning for the abolition of the unfair and discriminatory penalty imposed on QPP retirement pensions in a situation of disability.
Over time, a spirit of mutual support has developed within the group. New members are welcomed with open arms and everyone tries to help others benefit from their knowledge and lived experiences.
In 2023, Les invalides au front was the driving force behind an unprecedented mobilization, which raised its profile, increased awareness and rallied many organizations behind its cause.
The group is extremely fortunate to benefit from the volunteer support of a seasoned and committed attorney, Me Sophie Mongeon. Last June, Me Mongeon received a Papillon award from the Confédération des organismes de personnes handicapées du Québec for her work with Les invalides au front.
Mr. Kevin Mc Lean, son of the late Richard Mc Lean, who filed the penalty-related class action lawsuit in 2020, also plays a major role in the group by pursuing his father's admirable legacy. Mr. Mc Lean is an excellent co-spokesperson for the organization.
Above all, les invalides au front are people who generously give their time and energy to make a unique and important contribution. With the strength and support of all its members, the organization is moving forward and remains determined to see justice served, not only for its members, but for future generations.
